Hillary Wilbur Ferro

Based in Leverett, Hillary Wilbur Ferro demonstrates her love of nature and the outdoors through her hand-carved sgraffito dishes and magnets. Sgraffito, Italian for scratch, is the meditative process of carving into layers of underglaze painted down to the clay body. Hillary received her BFA and MEd from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Hillary's artwork displays her love of the natural world, whether in the medium of clay, printmaking or painting. She balances her time as a mother, artist, and visual arts teacher. She lives with her family in Leverett, Massachusetts.
