Artist Story

Based in Goshen, Indiana, Justin Rothshank makes handmade ceramic mugs and artisan pottery that make you look twice. Each piece is thrown on the wheel and then adorned with vintage as well as custom decals.

Justin's political pottery received the “Award of Excellence” from the American Craft Council in 2009. Early in 2015, leading up to the presidential election Justin was invited by Leslie Ferrin, one of PINCH’s founders, to have a solo show of political works at her gallery on the campus of MassMOCA. From there, Justin's political pottery has been featured in many galleries, publications, and shops.

Justin’s pots are made to be used daily! Please note that pieces with gold or silver luster on them are not microwave safe. Each piece is dishwasher safe but Justin recommends hand washing as often as possible.
