Tess, the creative force behind The Minimalist Ceramist, began her pottery journey in 2021. Amidst pandemic chaos, Tess sought solace and took inspiration from her two little ones. In the following years, Tess has immersed herself in the world of ceramics and has built herself a cozy home studio in Novato, California.

Inspired by her children's nature collections, Tess first embarked on creating curio shelves in 2022, and has since poured her heart into innovating and refining The Shelf of Inspiration, driven by a desire to capture the essence of childhood wonder while combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. Tess’ goal is simple: to bring the joy of the outdoors inside, creating pieces that evoke that same sense of awe and discovery we experience in nature.
