Crazy Quilt Cat draws on Edie Harper’s gift for reducing familiar forms to their essentials while keeping their personality intact. Checkerboard borders, stitched textures, and warm earth tones frame a cat that seems to emerge directly from the quilt itself. 

The design feels both playful and carefully ordered—a hallmark of Harper’s work across painting, textile, and illustration. 

Handcrafted in Ann Arbor, Michigan, using Motawi’s time-honored Cuenca technique.
