Spalted Maple 8" Rectangular Board
Each one of these rectangular wooden cutting boards starts as a reclaimed slab of spalted maple. The shape stays simple, but the live edge tells the story of where it came from — following the original line of the tree. You’ll see streaks, lines, and contrast from the spalting process, which happens as the maple begins to age in the forest. Spencer Peterman & his team sand each board by hand and seal it just enough to protect the surface without covering up the grain.
They’re practical, but not plain. You can chop vegetables, serve cheese, or carry out a tray of desserts — and it’ll feel right either way. Whether you keep one in the kitchen for prep or bring it out for company, these wooden cutting boards clean up well and hold their own on the table.

Care Instructions:
- Hand wash with mild soap and towel dry.
- Apply mineral oil once a month to maintain the natural beauty of the wood, EXCEPT to products with our Driftwood, White Pearl, and Sea Glass finishes. These bowls are made with an acrylic food safe finish and should not be oiled.
Our mineral oil has a beeswax base that adds beauty and protection from everyday wear and tear. Beeswax conditioners help prevent wood from drying out as well as from absorbing too much moisture.
Prolonged exposure to water can cause damage; please do not submerge in water or place in the dishwasher.
Common mistakes include letting old fruit and vegetables mold at the bottom of a bowl (this may stain) and putting a bowl/board in the oven.
